Hospital Foundation Funds New Ultrasound Unit

Donors give $38,000 to purchase new unit for area patients.

Chelan, WA, April 28, 2023: LCCH Foundation recently donated $38,000 to fund the purchase of a new ultrasound unit at Lake Chelan Clinic. By providing access to ultrasound technology in a clinic setting, caregivers can offer better clinical screenings to patients.

"Were committed to ensuring that our community members receive excellent healthcare," said LCCH Foundation President Lester Cooper. Were excited to fund a gift that directly improves the quality of care for so many members of our community.

Approximately 6,000 patients use the clinic for their healthcare needs, which is operated by LCCH Hospital. While ultrasound units are commonly used to monitor fetal growth in pregnancies, they are also used to scan for abnormalities among a wide range of patients.

The new ultrasound unit is a great addition in our practice, said Lake Chelan Clinic Physician Dr. Tobe Harberd. Its much easier to see whats going on inside our patients.
